Obituary

Beloved husband, cherished father, grandfather and great-grandfather, treasured brother and friend, Steve Alford Leonard, age 73, passed away in Karnack, Texas on January 3, 2021.  Steve was born in Oak Hill, Ohio on February 4, 1947 to John Glen Leonard and Goldie (Delaney) Leonard.

He is preceded in death by a great-grandson, parents, and two sisters.  He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Helen Leonard; his daughter, Ashley Clark; his sons, Christopher Lank and Lonnie Rawls; 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; his sister, Shelby Moon, as well as a host of other family and friends.

Steve was a military veteran who proudly served his country in the United States Army.  He later spent many years as a shrimper and owned his own shrimp boat.  He also worked for many years as a pipefitter in the construction industry.  Steve loved hand-making just about anything, was an avid fisherman and truly enjoyed doing anything outdoors.  He was an animal lover, a great husband and a wonderful family man.  Steve was well loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Private Services will be held for Steve at a later date.
