Beloved mother, cherished grandmother, and aunt, Ruth Alexandra (Lukus) Graves, age 89, of Marshall, Texas passed away Thursday, March 31, 2022 in Marshall. She was born on November 10, 1932 in Flagstaff, Arizona, the daughter of John and Aleina Lukus. She married Billy Jack Graves on February 8, 1953 and together they celebrated 25 years of marriage before his death in 1978. Ruth was a cashier at Hall Super Store in Waskom, Texas for many years. She loved her family, home, and people which she always treated with love and respect. If you were hungry, she would feed you with a smile on her face, she smiled and loved everyone. She was a wonderful and special lady and will be missed by all those who were blessed to know and love her. Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, John and Aleina Lukus; her husband, Billy Jack Graves; her sisters, Rachel Smith (Robert) and Claudia Rose Aleina Lukus Bowers; her brothers, Ray Lukus (Dixie), Bob Lukus (Edith), and Ragnar Lukus; and her son-in-law, Dana Bailey. She is survived by her children, Lee Anne Bailey, Lou Anne Taylor, Sandy Earl (Jeff), and John Graves (Michelle Anderson); her grandchildren, Aaron Bailey, Tony Bailey, Adam Golden, Aric Golden (Anna), Anna Jones (William), Andrea Stewart (Cody), Alyssa Earl (Que), and Jamie Wallace; 17 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; three nephews and one niece; and numerous other family and friends who loved her dearly. The family would like to offer a special thanks to Amy Martin, Robin Anderson and Marshall HomeCare and Hospice. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, April 1, 2022 at Meadowbrook Funeral Home. Graveside Service will be held at 11a.m. Saturday, April 2, 2022 at Restland Cemetery in Waskom, Texas.
