Obituary

Beloved husband, cherished father and grandfather, treasured brother and friend, Roy Mitchell Knoble, Sr., age 68, passed away in Marshall, Texas on Thursday, May 19, 2022.  Roy was born on March 27, 1954 in Marshall, Texas to Clinton Carrol Knoble and Lula Mae (Smith) Noble.

Roy is preceded in death by his daughter, Julie Wallace; his parents and his sister, Bessie Virginia “Judy Ann” Fugler.  He is survived by his common-law wife, Juanice Wallace; children, Christy Knoble, Jennifer Pearson (Patrick), Tonya Tomlinson (Kevin), Roy Knoble, Jr. (Kelly Ladwig); grandchildren, Shiloh Pearson, Payton Pearson, Knox Tomlinson, Korbin Tomlinson, Baili Knoble; Kaylee Knoble, Logan Knoble, Jestin Hollingsworth and their mother, Casey Knoble; Harber Pope and Kirstee Wallace Pope; siblings, Carolyn St. Andre (Andy), Vennie Jones, Phillip Knoble (Tincey), Doris Wilson (Keith) and Clinton Knoble, Jr.

Roy was a very skilled carpenter and worked for many years doing what he loved.  He was a good vegetable gardener and enjoyed hunting and fishing.  Roy loved to tease and joke, and to give people a hard time, but his greatest joy was to spend precious time with his grandkids who fondly called him “Papa”.  Roy was well loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
