Beloved brother, cherished uncle and treasured friend, Robert Christopher Schramm, age 64, passed away in Marshall, Texas on Sunday, October 31, 2021.
Robert was born on March 22, 1957 in Taylor, Pennsylvania to Robert Ratchford and Jule Ann Elko. He is preceded in death by his son, Paul James Schramm; his parents; and very special friend, Jody Hansen. Robert is survived by his siblings, Joe Schramm, Edward Schramm and Cheryl Schramm; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; his special friends, Debbra Jones, C. J. and Reena Khattra and their sons, Sukhman and Eshan; as well as his Days Inn family, who all who loved him dearly.
Robert grew up in Hazlet, New Jersey and graduated from Raritan High School. He lived in Arizona for many years, working as an open road truck driver for California Express. Robert was an avid sports fan who also enjoyed playing chess and taking long drives on his motorcycle. He had an exceptional mind, was extremely intelligent and could discuss any topic at length with anyone. He also had a true love of history and loved to share his vast knowledge about the subject. Robert was well loved and will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know him.
