Pearline Cook Mosley

1925 ~ 2020 (age 95)

And I heard a voice from Heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord:  henceforth:  Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.

                                        ~ Revelation 14:13

Sister Pearline Mosley was born March 8, 1925 in Jonesville, TX to the parentage of Frank Cook, Sr., and Lucy Henderson Cook.  She received her education from Belview County School.  Pearline united with the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, Scottsville, TX at an early age and later united with the Old Border Missionary Baptist Church, Jonesville, TX where she remained a member until her passing.  Her career included working at laundries and in private homes.  What captivated Pearline the most were sewing, dressing hair, babysitting and taking care of her family.  In 2014, Sister Mosley relocated to Fort Worth to live with her son, John Purvis Mosley, after the passing of her husband, John Earl Mosley, who had been her caregiver.  John Purvis put his life on hold for 44 months, very caring and dedicated to our mother, making sure all her needs were met at all times.  In 2018 Sister Mosley’s health began to deteriorate further. Sister Mosley was checked into the hospital and from there into Fort Worth Southwest Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.  Sister Pearline Mosley entered into peaceful rest on Saturday, April 18, 2020.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John E. Mosley; and being the last survivor of nine children, she is preceded in death by four brothers, R. A., Frank, Jr., Allen and James Cook; four sisters, Alma Williams, Gussie Thompson, Earline Phillips and Lucy Smith.  She leaves to cherish her loving memories two daughters, Patricia Ann Mosley Curtis (William) of Dallas, TX and Johnnie Faye Mosley of Marshall, TX; one son, John Purvis Mosley of Fort Worth, TX; six grandchildren, Sean Christopher Spillmon of Longview, TX, Reginald Mosley of Austin, TX, LaKiesha Nicole Curtis-Baker (Josh) of Rosharon, TX, Felicia DeJuana Faggett of Houston, TX, Kizuwanda Curtis Iwu (Chase) of Sunnyvale, TX, and Alexandria Nicole Mosley of Dallas, TX; six great-grandchildren, Sean Walters, JaTavion Spillmon, Ja’Vare Spillmon, Ja’Nay Spillmon,Kaleeah Perkins, Isabella Rose Iwu and Jeremiah Alexander Guthrie; one great-great-grandchild, Dwayne Walters; three sisters-in-law, Mildred Henderson and Margaret Mosley, both of Houston, TX, and Sammie Lee Evans of Phoenix, AZ and many, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Online condolences may be offered at www.meadowbrookfh.com
