Beloved husband, devoted father, cherished brother, son and uncle, Daniel Joel Anton, affectionately known as “Mike”, passed away at the age of 71, on December 15, 2022 surrounded by his family. Mike was born to Pete and Dorothy Anton on June 14, 1951 in Dickenson, North Dakota. He is preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Dorothy Anton and his niece, Angie Shipley. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 44 years, Scottie (VanDeventer) Anton; his children, Eric Welsh (Saige) and Chris Anton (Jessie); his grandchildren, Railey Welsh, Millie Anton, Julian Welsh and Michael Welsh; his brother, David Anton; his sisters, Gail Shipley (Glen) and Gayleen Winters (David); his sisters-in-law, Tisha Ford (Ron), Tracie Murlin (Michael), Revel Castillo-Simon (Andre) and Renee VanDeventer. He is also survived by his cousin, Sheila Woodall; his good friend, Daphne Teske; his four-legged fur babies, Pixie and Little Bit and many other family members and friends who knew and loved him. He spent many years as a painter and worked at Pirke Power Plant for several years. He loved to fly airplanes and loved his time on the water at Caddo Lake. He also loved the time spent working with Wayne VanDeventer and family at W.K. Fish Company. He loved sailboats and helping others in a time of need. His happy time was the time he spent working on Campbell Deer Ranch driving tractors at his chosen speed of slow and the time spent with his family. Mike was a great friend to many and will be deeply missed by all who were blessed by his life and love.
A Celebration of Life for Mike will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 1pm at the Church of Uncertain.
