Beloved father, cherished grandfather and great-grandfather, treasured brother and friend, Marvin Wayne Beloney, age 82, passed away in Marshall, Texas on June 7, 2021. Marvin was born on November 23, 1938 in Marshall, Texas to Ed and Bessie (Paxton) Beloney.
Marvin is preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife, Barbara (Wingo) Beloney; his parents, Ed and Bessie Beloney; and his siblings, Edna Flowers, Shirley Alexander, Virginia Hernsberger, Larry Beloney, James Beloney and Alex Beloney. He is survived by his daughters, Pam Beloney Benson (Robert Graham, Sr.), and Patty Beloney Seals (Manuel “Crow” Seals); grandchildren, Robert Graham, Jr. (Laurann) and Rachel Seals; great-grandchildren, Sydni Ann Graham and Karsyn Cooper; brother, Thomas Beloney (Gayle), as well as numerous other special family members and friends.
Marvin attended school in Marshall and proudly served his country in the United States Army National Guard. He was a skilled cabinet maker and a true perfectionist. Marvin worked at Right Kut, Inc. for over 50 years, retiring in 2012. Even after retirement he told the company that he “was always here if you need me”. He would stop by the office regularly to visit and never missed a Right Kut Christmas party. Marvin loved seeing everyone there…and the beans! He enjoyed fixing all things wood related, “catting” around Caddo Lake, taking drives to sightsee and just being outdoors. Every afternoon at 4pm, he would spend time with friends, whether it was to deer hunt or just hang out at “The Pasture”. He was involved in many adventures, one of them involving the filming of the Caddo Lake movie. He transported many of the movie crew back and forth from shooting locations to lodging facilities. Marvin was a true craftsman and in his spare time enjoyed making cedar coin banks for the kids. Marvin was well loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held for Marvin at 10:00am on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Meadowbrook Funeral Home with Debbie Rogers officiating. A time of visitation will immediately follow the service. Online condolences may be offered at www.meadowbrookfh.com
