Beloved wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother and friend, Lynda Beth (Finklea) Weaver, age 81, passed away on Friday, June 11, 2021 at her home in Karnack, Texas. Lynda was born on February 24, 1940 in Marshall, Texas to Edd and Ruby (Sholar) Finklea. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Walter Gene Weaver; her children, Debra Smith and Sandra Morris (Gus); her grandchildren, Amanda Eskew (Gordon), Brandon Roberson (Sara), and Amy Whitehead; her great-grandchildren, Matthew Roberson (Adela), Joseph Eskew and Caitlin Craver and one great-great-grandchild, Greyson Roberson. She is also survived by her brother, Bobby Finklea (Gerri) and her sister, Marsha Allbritton (Steve); numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends. She is preceded in death by her grandson, Bryan Whitehead; her son-in-law, Gary Smith; her parents, Edd and Ruby Finklea and her sister, Carolyn Kelly. Lynda was an avid FaceBook pro who enjoyed time spent keeping up with her friends and family, especially during the 2020 pandemic. She loved riding in the golf cart, loved living at Caddo Lake and spending time with her dear friends known affectionately known as the “Cypress Village River Rats”, but her true passion in life was her husband, her family and raising her children. She was famous for her cooking ability, in particular her chicken and dumplings and her banana pudding. Lynda’s life was well lived, she was well loved and will be deeply missed by all who were blessed by her life. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00pm at Meadowbrook Funeral Home on Saturday, June 19, 2021 with visitation immediately following the service.
