Kirstin Hope Oney

Beloved daughter, cherished sister, treasured aunt, niece, cousin and friend, Kirstin Hope Oney, age 31, passed away in Longview, Texas on November 17, 2022.  Kirstin was born March 11, 1991 in Marshall, Texas to Ronnie Dean Oney, Jr. and Linda Gayle (Degner) McCannon.

Kirstin is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Ronnie Oney, Sr., Aleycia Galloway and Bob Galloway; maternal grandparents, Buddy Degner and Melba “Granny” Fant; and great-grandparents, Galen and Lela Mae “Mae Mae” Oney; and her step-father, Jeremy McCannon.  She is survived by her mother, Linda McCannon; father, Ronnie Oney, Jr.; brother, Ronnie Oney, III (Brittney); sister, Marissa Thompson; aunts and uncles, Laura Foster, Brian Degner (Jackie); nieces and nephews, Dani Oney, Juli Oney, Rhonnie Oney, Malachi Cambell, Zayden Williams and Koa Harp; cousins, Landon Degner, Brandon Degner (Darbi) and their daughter, Jovi, as well as numerous other family members and friends who loved her dearly.

Kirstin was a special woman who had a love of many things including her 4- legged fur babies, Loki, Gemini, Athena, Memi and Apollo, as well as astrology, drawing, painting and the art of tattoo.  She used her special artistic talents until her illness advanced.  Kirstin was well loved and will be truly missed by all who knew her.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, December 10, 2022 at 3:00pm at Meadowbrook Funeral Home with D.W. McLendon officiating. Visitation and reception will be held at the Marshall Elks Lodge following the service.
