Obituary

On Sunday, May 29, 2022, the spirit of Kenneth Raven   transitioned to be with God, our Heavenly Father. Kenneth Dewayne Raven was born March 3, 1960 to the late Simmie (Buddy) Vance and Mary Jane Agers Raven. Kenneth was a very skilled and sharp carpenter. His natural God given skills lead him to begin his own small business   (K & C Construction). This business may have been small, but his work left a huge impact on the community of Marshall and surrounding areas. He will be greatly missed by the community at large and the many people who he helped in any way he could. He is preceded in death by his father, Simmie Vance; his mother, Mary Jane Agers; sister, Ruby Vance Arthur;  brothers, Bobby Glen Vance and Isadore Raven, and nephew, Julius E. Maloy III. He leaves to cherish his memories a wife, Constance Mosley; children, Angel Vance (Badel Smith) (mother of Pharrell Jones and Terrell Jones), Kentrono Vance (Ashley Smith) (father of Essence Vance and Kentrono Vance Jr.), Kenneth Vance, Shaniece Vance (Hubert Chandler) (mother of Destiny Chandler and Faith Chandler), Krystal Vance (mother of  Felicia Foreman, Felix Foreman, Francisco Foreman and Felicity Foreman), Kendrick Vanch (Cody Scholtz); stepdaughters, Brittany Hayley (Eric) (son and daughter of Brittany Hayley, Edric Hayley and BriShunjai Hayley), and JaVonza Cooks; two sisters, Lela Maloy and Joyce Barkins; one brother-in-law, Randolph Roach; and host of  nephews, nieces, and friends.
