Loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Judith Lynn (Gray) McNeil, 68, passed away Monday, December 20, 2021 in Marshall. Judith was born February 15, 1953 in Dayton, Ohio to Paul Richard Gray, Sr. and Virginia Belle Gorsuch Gray. On December 12, 1974, she married the love of her life, Kenneth McNeil. She served her country honorably in the US Navy during the Vietnam Era attaining the rank of AK3. Judith travelled all over the US with Kenneth during his 22 years in the Navy. She was known to many friends and relatives as “Gypsy”. She had her associates degree and held numerous jobs. She worked for Louis A. Williams Insurance and was an administrative assistant for Dixie Youth Baseball in the national office where she retired. Judith was a member of the BPO Elks Lodge #683 and made many friends all across the state of Texas. She served as Lodge Sweetheart, Lady Elks President, and Lodge Officer. She was also a member of the American Legion #267. Judith enjoyed darts, crafting, and was a wonderful artist. Judith’s greatest passion in life was her family. She was very proud of her grandson, Logan. Logan is the captain of his hockey team and also “Lil Bugger” for the Shreveport Mudbugs and fills in as “Clawed”. Of course, Judith was a season ticket holder for the Mudbugs so she would not miss out on seeing her grandson! Judith loved her family beyond measure and she was extremely proud of each and every one of them. She will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love her. Judith was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Paul “Ricky” Gray, Jr.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Roy and Allie McNeil; brother-in-law, Ronald McNeil; and sister-in-law, Martha Wisdom. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Kenneth McNeil; children, Kimberly McNeil and Jonathan McNeil; grandson, Logan McNeil; sisters, Alice (Gray) Chlumecky and her husband, Wayne and Linda Gray; sister-in-law, Linda McNeil; numerous nieces and nephews; and her best friend and the Godmother of Logan, Georgia Turner. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Marshall Elks Lodge on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 2pm.
