Josephine (Washington) Singleton, age 76, was called home by the Lord on Monday, June 29, 2020 in Marshall, Texas. She was born in Marshall, Texas on August 8, 1943 to the parentage of James Washington and Bertha (Jenkins) Washington. Josephine is preceded in death by her parents, James and Bertha Washington and her brother, Eddie Washington. She leaves to cherish her special memories her daughters, Bonnie Singleton Jenkins and Sharon Singleton Shaw; grandchildren, Eric Jenkins, Erica Jenkins, Eron Jenkins and Carlos Shaw; great-grandchildren, Alonzieo Pryor, Itayah Jenkins, Eniyah Jenkins, Gabrielle Jenkins, D’Kerrius Shaw and Car’Marieon Taylor-Shaw; special friend, Curtis Frederick; numerous other cherished family members and friends, as well as her 4 legged fur baby, Peanut. Josephine was a graduate of Pemberton High School and worked as a clerk and operator for Thiokol (30 years) and Woodlawn Manufacturing (13 years). She loved flowers and had a gift for gardening. She also enjoyed traveling with family and communicating with her many friends, but her greatest joy was spending precious time with her beloved family. Josephine was well loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Visitation for Josephine will be held from 6-7pm on Friday, July 3, 2020 at Meadowbrook Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, July 4, 2020 at Pine Bluff Baptist Church with Pastor Anthony Prescott officiating. Mistress of Ceremonies will be Delores Johnson and Pallbearers will be Eric Jenkins, Eron Jenkins, Carlos Shaw, Alonzieo Pryor, D’Kerrius Shaw and Bruce Jenkins.
