Beloved husband, devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather, cherished son and treasured brother, Joel Dewayne McMillan, age 69, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2020. He was born on February 25, 1950 in Nacogdoches, Texas to Joe Walter McMillan and Frances (Fancher) McMillan. Joel is preceded in death by his father, Joe Walter McMillan and his son, Jason Erik McMillan. He is survived by his wife, Gloria Jean “Jeannie Mac” (Davis) McMillan; daughter, Rhonda Williamson (Richard); his sons, Jeremy Dewayne McMillan (Ruth), Jerrad McMillan (Holly); grandchildren, Zachery Williamson, Tori Triplett, Haley McMillan, Kaley McMillan, Mason McMillan, Koby McMillan, Jordan McMillan and Brittney McMillan; his mother, Frances McMillan; sisters, Glenda Mitchell (Alton) and Gail Gipson (Tommy); 6 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Joel began working in the oil field industry at the young age of 17 and loved his job. He enjoyed cooking on the grill and going to the deer lease, but his true passion was spending precious time with his family and friends. Joel was well loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, January 9, 2020 from 12:00-2:00pm at Meadowbrook Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2020 at 2:00pm at Meadowbrook Funeral Home.
