Jimmy Ray Alexander, Sr., 65, of Karnack, passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at his home. A Celebration of Jimmy’s Life will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Pope City Baptist Church with Bro. Craig Evers officiating. Jimmy was born January 9, 1956 in Shreveport, LA to Gordon Glen Alexander and Florence Ellen Black Alexander. On May 19, 1980 in Marshall, TX, he married the love of his life, Wanda Perkins. Jimmy worked for General Cable for 22 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, but his most favorite hobby, was his grandchildren. He loved them tremendously and was always with them. Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Patricia, Billy, Richard, and Johnny. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Wanda; children, James Ray Burns (Melissa), Jimmy Ray Alexander, Jr., and Sarah Jane Collins (Toby); grandchildren, Taylor, Hunter, Jacob, Karlie, Brayden, and Kenzlie; great grandchildren, Hayden, Christopher, and Avery; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends who loved him dearly. The family would like to extend a very heartfelt thank you to the staff of Marshall HomeCare and Hospice and to Dr. Lijo John and the staff of Texas Oncology for the kind and loving care shown to Jimmy.
