Obituary

Beloved mother, India Jean (Armstrong) Richardson, age 88, passed away in Karnack, Texas on Wednesday, May 18, 2022.  Jean was born on June 8, 1933 in Jefferson, Texas to Porter Florance and Lena Armstrong. 

Jean is preceded in death by her husband, Sam Richardson; her son, Bruce Edward Richardson; her parents and one sister.  She is survived by her son, Jason Wayne Richardson; special daughter, Veneisha Yancy; four stepchildren, one sister and numerous other family members who loved her dearly.

Jean retired from Jefferson Hospital after 25 years of faithful employment.  She then went on to work in the Jefferson School District from where she also retired after 15 years.  Jean was a hard worker who loved her family beyond measure and would do anything to make sure they were provided for.  She was a member of Gainesville Church in Marshall and attended services often.  She was well loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
