James Ray Peacock, age 48, passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2021 in Waskom, Texas. Mr. Peacock was born on December 18, 1972 in Breckenridge, Texas to Delton Peacock and Glenda Hobbs Peacock.
James is preceded in death by his parents, Delton and Glenda Peacock, and his brother, Lindon Peacock. He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Aundrea Marie (Humphries) Peacock; his daughter, Sophia; sisters, Tressie Moore, Tina Brewer, Alaine Sanders, Tammy Everett, Amanda Peacock, Gayle Brown and Linda Hebel, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
James graduated high school in Woodson, Texas and furthered his education at Cisco Junior College in Cisco, Texas. He spent many years working in the oil field as an oil driller. James loved to fish and dig for crystals in Arkansas. He also loved fire…fireworks…and the fireplace. He always thought he was funny, but was very dry witted and could make people laugh without even trying. He had a love of Texas history, especially anything regarding The Alamo. James was a simple man and truly the “salt of the earth”. He was well loved and will be truly missed by all who knew him.
A private service was held with his family. Online condolences may be offered at www.meadowbrookfh.com
