Harold Maxwell Hoffmeister, Jr., age 82, passed away on Friday, September 24, 2021 in Marshall, Texas. Harold was born on May 4, 1939 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Harold Maxwell Hoffmeister, Sr. and Ruth Celeste (Busick) Hoffmeister.
Harold is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Ruth Hoffmeister; his niece, Shannon Penner; his nephew, Carroll McCarroll and cousin, Jeanie McCarroll. He is survived by his sister, Sara Lundh of Lufkin, Texas; nephew, Chad Barrett of Florida; the McCarroll Family: Roy Jack and Rainie; the Dawson Family: Steve and Debbie, Lauren and husband, Adam, and their daughter, Charlotte. He also survived by his 4 legged fur baby, Casey.
Harold proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and later attended A & M and St. Louis University. After earning his Bachelor of Arts degree, he spent 40 years in the banking industry, retiring as a Sr. Internal External Financial Fraud Investigator. Harold was very involved in his church, in California as well as Marshall. Harold will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
A Memorial Service will be held for Harold at 1:00pm on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Trinity Episcopal Church in Marshall, Texas. Online condolences may be offered at www.meadowbrookfh.com
