Beloved husband, cherished father, treasured grandfather and brother, George Scherer Ellisor, age 62, passed away in Marshall, Texas on Monday, June 15, 2020. He was born in Houston, Texas on February 24, 1958 to Charlie Martin Ellisor and Gloria Mae (Gerfers) Ellisor. George is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Gloria Ellisor; and Frances Irene Brock. He is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Emma Lou (Fitzsimmons) Bracken-Ellisor; children, Crystal Whitfield (Steven), Jerry Nedwetzky (Kimberly) and Mike Nedwetzky; grandchildren, Taylor Whitfield, Brittany Whitfield, Hannah Whitfield and Rebecca Dobrin (Eliezer); great-grandson, Link Dobrin; brother, Charlie Martin Ellisor, Jr.; sister, Mary Ellen Cessac (Kevin); 5 nephews; Robert B. Johnson III (who was like a son to George), as well as Robert’s wife, Elisabeth, and their girls, Alice and Julia, along with numerous other family members, special friends and “Kitty Tom”, his 4-legged fur baby. George proudly served his country in the United States Navy and later spent many years with Darko and a hospital system in Houston, Texas. George was a member of Summit United Methodist Church and affiliated with the Patriot Guard, Veterans 4 Veterans and the Boy Scouts. He loved leather work, crossword puzzles and especially spending time with family and friends. George was well loved and will be missed by all who knew him. A Memorial Service will be held for George on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at 3:00pm at Meadowbrook Funeral Home with Pastor Dick Dobbins officiating.
