Beloved husband, cherished father and grandfather, treasured brother and friend, Gary Earl Varner, age 68, passed away in Marshall, Texas on February 20, 2021. Gary was born in Litchfield, Illinois on September 8, 1952 to Earl Roy Varner and Betty Ruth (Murphy) Varner. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Heather Varner; parents, Earl and Betty Varner, and his brother, Denny Varner. Gary is survived by his loving wife, Judy (White) Varner; his children, Joshua Varner (Casey) and Noelle Young (Olin); his granddaughters, Shelby Young, Maggie Young and Abigail Varner; his siblings, Terry Varner of California, Paul Varner of Arizona and Debbie Morrison of Arizona; his aunt, Lovine Jacobs of Illinois, as well as several nieces, nephews and special friends.
Gary truly loved his Lord and was a member of Westview Christian Church for many years. He was a huge fan of LSU and the Saints. Gary loved old cars and spent many hours restoring them. He was an avid dominoes player as well as a fisherman and hunter. Gary was well loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A Memorial Service will be held for Gary on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 1:00pm at Westview Christian Church, 7188 Greenwood Road, Shreveport, Louisiana.
