Beloved mother, cherished grandmother and great-grandmother, treasured sister, Deborah Gale (Day) Simmons, age 76, passed away in Bossier City, Louisiana on March 23, 2021. Gale was born on November 20, 1944 in National City, California to Haskel Ansel Day and Lillie Mae (Barrick) Hurst.
Gale is preceded in death by her husband, Joel T. Simmons, Jr., and her parents, Haskel and Lillie Day. She is survived by her daughter, Connie Corrigan (Bill); her son, Clayton Simmons; grandchildren, Hailey Corrigan, Hannah Corrigan, Jordan Smith (Kory), Clayton Simmons (Drew), Cody Simmons (Shelby), William Corrigan IV, Rachel Corrigan and Joel Corrigan; great-grandchildren, Jackson Simmons and Andrew Simmons; sister, Patricia George; and her sisters-in-law, Deanna Read and Peggy Mobley.
Gale worked as a title examiner and landman for Mosley Abstract Company for many years. She was a member of Eastern Hills Church of Christ, loved her Lord, her church and her family. Gale was well loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation for Gale will be held from 10:00 to 11:00am on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at Meadowbrook Funeral Home. Funeral Service will follow the visitation and begin at 11:00am at Meadowbrook Funeral Home. Online condolences may be offered at www.meadowbrookfh.com
