Obituary

Beloved husband, cherished father, devoted grandfather, brother and friend to many, Ernest Coye Litton, Jr., age 74, passed away on December 24, 2020 in Waskom, Texas at his home.  He was born on September 1, 1946 in Natchitoches, LA to Ernest Coye Litton, Sr. and Dorothy (Carnline) Litton.  Ernie is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Coye Litton, Sr. and Dorothy Litton; his brother, Brandon Litton; his mother-in-law, Elizabeth Dison; his father-in-law, C. C. Dison and his four legged fur-baby, Lilly.  On June 1, 1991, he married the love of his life, Rebecca Lynn (Dison) Litton in Crossroads, Texas.  He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Rebecca Lynn (Dison) Litton; his daughters, Amber Bailey and Amy Nuner and her husband, Lloyd Nuner, Jr.; his grandchildren, Cade Bailey, Ellen Nuner, Caleb Bailey, Catherine Bailey, Cara Bailey and Lloyd E. Nuner III “Trip”; his sister, Linda Goins and her husband, Robert; his nephews, Pete Litton, Scotty Litton and Paul Barnes; his nieces, Melissa Goins Heard and Stacie Locke; his sisters-in-law, Kathy Vailes and CeCe Crouch and her husband, Hook.  He is also survived by numerous other family members and friends who knew and loved him.  Ernie loved to play pool and both he and Rebecca were avid pool players often playing in co-ed leagues.  He loved woodworking and years ago raised and raced homing pigeons. Ernie loved to collect Case knives, rocks, coins, arrowheads and marbles, often making his own showcases for his collections.  He graduated from Woodlawn High School in Shreveport, LA and attended Louisiana Tech after which he worked as an electrician for many years.  A time of visitation and sharing memories of Ernie will be held at Meadowbrook Funeral Home from 3pm to 7pm on Wednesday, December 30, 2020.  Online condolences may be offered at www.meadowbrookfh.com
