Beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather, treasured uncle, cousin and friend, Delton Ray Ferguson, age 71, passed away in Karnack, Texas on March 17, 2021. Delton was born on October 5, 1949 in Bradford, Arkansas to Andrew Thomas Ferguson and Fannie Hazel (Faulk) Ferguson.
Delton is preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Ferguson; parents, Andrew and Fannie Ferguson; brothers, Glen Calvin and Jimmy Ferguson; and sister, Elizabeth Ferguson. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Angelett and Ben Martinez of Moscow, Texas; his grandchildren, Angela Reyes, Ashley Martinez and Ben Martinez; great-grandchildren, Adrian Flores, Alexis Martinez, Annalicia Reyes and Penelope Martinez; sister-in-law, Bobbie Ferguson; Angelette’s mother, Laura Ferguson; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, and his precious dogs, Cheyenne and Fox.
Delton was a truck driver for many years and enjoyed being on the road, while working or traveling with his family. He loved his coffee and enjoyed reading westerns and science fiction books, but his greatest passion was spending time with his family. Delton was well loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held for Delton at 6:00pm on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at First Assembly of God in Corrigan, Texas with Pastor Phil Corbett officiating. A time of visitation will immediately follow the service.
