Obituary

Loving husband, devoted father, cherished brother and friend, David Neil Davis, age 58, passed away in Dallas, Texas on Thursday, December 9, 2021.  David was born in Marshall, Texas on April 7, 1963 to John Lewis Davis, Sr. and Peggy Kerr.  He is preceded in death by his father, John Davis; mother Peggy Christopher; stepmother, Patricia Schaffer; brothers, John “Jay” Davis and Todd Davis; good friend, Doc, and his four-legged fur baby, Alli.  He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Sarah Sipes Davis; children, Jonathan Davis, Chelsea Thomas and Leslie Weir (Daniel); grandchildren, Gracey, Beckett, Blayton and Isiah; siblings, Terry Davis, Sherri Wilson (Tommy), James Davis (Trina), Monica Bailey, Jay Neal Bailey and Janet Davis, as well as numerous other family members.  David is also survived by his close friend, Sheila Esquivel and the Staff and Residents of Stone Creek Apartments, and his 4 legged fur babies, Tootie and Emmy.

David had a strong work ethic and lived to work.  He was the kind of man who had to stay busy at all times.  For the past nine years, he worked at Stone Creek Apartments. He loved his job there, his co-workers and all the residents.  He had previously worked for Texas Energy until his health prevented him from working there. David loved to “tinker” with everything and always made sure his truck was clean.  He loved his family and the precious times they spent making memories together.  He was well loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at 10am at Yates Cemetery with Debbie Rogers officiating.  A time of visitation will directly follow at Meadowbrook Funeral Home from 11am-1pm.  Online condolences may be offered at www.meadowbrookfh.com
