Cynthia Paulette Paine, age 59, passed away on Monday, January 4, 2021 in Longview, Texas. She was born on September 18, 1961 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Charles Ray and Helen Juanita (Lyles) Paine. Cynthia is preceded in death by her parents, Charles Ray and Helen Juanita Paine; her niece, Felecia Jeffries; and her great-niece, Paizley Jeffries. She is also preceded in death by her common law husband of over ten years, Tommy Slack. She is survived by her sisters, Karen Jeffries, Kristy McAndrews and her husband, Brian; her brother, Ricky Paine and his wife, Stephanie; her nieces and nephews, Natasha Wilson, Jerry Jeffries and his fiancée, Deborah Price, Zechariah Jeffries and his wife, Megan, Amanda Little and her husband, John, Blake Dunn, Jacob Jeffries, Jared Jeffries and his wife, Kelsey, Rachael McAndrews, Kolten McAndrews, Courtney Ellison, Lauren Tamplin; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Tyler Wilson, Kayleigh Wilson, Jaxson Wilson, Zoey Jeffries, Zegan Jeffries, Zander Jeffries, Makynna Jeffries, Shane Little, Grayson Little, Claire Little, Charlie Gibson, Karson Jeffries, Karlie Jeffries, Braxton Jeffries, Kinzler Jeffries, Rikki Ellison, Alyssa Ecklund, Brennan Muse, Stefen Oney and many other family members. Cynthia loved the time spent with Tommy Slack as he served as Fire Chief for the Blocker Volunteer Fire Department. Together they enjoyed coordinating chili cook off events along with many other activities during the year for the fire department. She was an avid animal lover and was passionate about music. Her love for music began at an early age as she played the clarinet and saxophone in the school band as well as taking private piano lessons. She enjoyed word puzzles, poker games and had quite the green thumb with plants but her true enjoyment was the time she spent with her friends and family. A Memorial Service will be held for Cynthia on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 11:00am at Meadowbrook Funeral Home with Debbie Rogers officiating.
