Corine Raven Williams, age 96, departed his life on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at her home in Marshall, Texas. Corine was born in Marshall on April 10, 1925 to Norman Raven, Sr. and Corine Clark Raven.
Corine graduated from high school in Marshall and was employed with Marshall City Laundry for many years, as well as in private homes. At an early age, Corine became a member of St. John Baptist Church.
Corine united in marriage to Monroe Brown, Sr., whereby three children were born. Later, Corine married the love of her life, Robert Williams, Jr., whereby five children were born.
Corine is preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband, Robert Williams, Jr.; two sons, Monroe Brown, Jr. and Raymond Williams, her parents, Norman and Corine Raven; two sisters, Zelma and Lorene; five brothers, Norman (Jake), Jr., Carl B, William, Julius and Coleman Raven.
Left to cherish her wonderful memories are three daughters, Jessie Brown, Gloria Williams and Patricia Brown, all of Marshall, Texas; three sons, James Brown (LaNita) of Orange, Texas, Robert Gene Williams of Marshall, Texas and Calvin L. Williams (Joyce) of Longview, Texas; one brother, Leonard Raven of Beaumont, Texas; one special daughter-in-law, Minnie Brown of Orange, Texas; three sisters-in-law, Ella Ross (Grady), Doris Kelleg (Ron) of San Jose, California and Zelma Moore of Ft. Worth, Texas; brothers-in-law, Hobert Williams (Maxie) of Dallas, Texas and Ivory Hall of Seagoville, Texas; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Visitation for Corine will be from 6:00-8:00pm on Friday, September 17, 2021 at Meadowbrook Funeral Home. Funeral Service at 12:00pm on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Old Border Cemetery. Online condolences may be offered at www.meadowbrookfh.com
