Beloved father, cherished grandfather and great-grandfather, treasured brother and friend, Clarence Harold Sallee, age 70, passed away in Longview. Texas on September 9, 2021. Clarence was born on December 7, 1950 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to John Harold Sallee and Jean Marie (Evans) Sallee.
Clarence is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Danny Sallee. He is survived by his children, William Harold Sallee (Stephenie), Josey Nell Gober (Thomas) and John Earl Sallee (Taryn); grandchildren, Brandi, Alicia, Taylor, Summer, Allen, Brayden, Tyleigh and Jace; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Beverly Sallee; his significant other, Carla Slider; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other family members and friends who loved him dearly.
Clarence proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He later worked in the logging industry as a log loader for many years. Clarence’s faith was strong and he loved his grandbabies and entire family without measure. He enjoyed fishing, making fishing lures and tinkering with jewelry making. He also liked refurbishing things and working with wood. Clarence had an upbeat personality, positive attitude and could always be counted on to wear a smile. He was truly loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A time of visitation will be held for Clarence on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 from 5:00-7:00pm at Meadowbrook Funeral Home. Interment will be private. Online condolences may be offered at www.meadowbrookfh.com
