Beloved mother, cherished sister and friend of many, Charline Davis Smith, age 67, passed away in Marshall, Texas on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 surrounded by her family. Charline was born on May 3, 1953 in Longview, Texas to William Charles and Madeline (Stewart) Davis. She is preceded in death by her husband, Binnion Smith and her parents, William Charles and Madeline Stewart Davis. She is survived by her daughters, Julia Ann Smith (Janet Oliver) and Jory Anne Snyder (Brian Snyder; her sisters, Elizabeth Ann Williams (James Williams) and Patricia Lynn Fitzwater (Doug Fitzwater). Charline is also survived by hundreds of children whom she adored and cared for during the 35 years she owned and operated Country Tots Day Care in Marshall, Texas. She was affectionately known as “Aunt Teen” and was passionate about “only accepting cute kids” into her care. She was very active in the Local Daycare Association and devoted many hours to the Association for Children’s Nutritional Growth. Charline was a member of Port Caddo Baptist Church, loved the Lord, had strong faith and was a Christian woman whose life was well lived. She will be deeply missed by many families who were blessed by her love and care over the years. In respecting the wishes of Charline, no formal service will be held.
