Beloved mother and cherished grandmother, Carman Munden Armstrong, age 73, passed away in Marshall, Texas on Sunday, May 29, 2022. Carman, affectionately known as “Carmie” was born on March 3, 1949 in Louisiana to Henry Pope Munden and Raby Tyson Munden.
Carmie is preceded in death by her parents; stepbrother, Roger Munden, and the father of her daughter and lifelong friend, Jerry Armstrong. She is survived by her daughter, Christy Bouzek (Matt); grandchildren, Eli Britt and Kloee Bouzek, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends, Trisha Sisk, Louis Sisk, Steve and Rhonda Phelps and Wade Pomeroy (Team 515) who all loved her dearly.
Carmie worked for many years as a bank teller and as a secretary in a law office. She also helped in the family business, Armstrong’s Wrecker Service. Carmie loved camping, fishing and creating memories with her precious family. She was always there to watch Kloee play softball, Kinsler play baseball, her nephews race modified dirt track cars, and spending time with her twin boys, Harrison and Declan Sisk. She loved Team 515 MMA out of Longview and served as the team “Mom”. She had an extreme passion for children and was very special to so many people whose lives she touched. Carmen was well loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
