Devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather, cherished brother and friend, Calvin Hubert McGuire, age 90, passed away in Marshall, Texas on Tuesday, December 28, 2021.  Calvin was born in Paxton, Texas on August 8, 1931 to Laurence Shepherd McGuire and Dollie Mae (Wilson) McGuire.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Emma Sue McGuire; great-grandson, Paxton Hogan; his parents; and his brothers, Mack McGuire and Jimmie McGuire.  He is survived by his children, Cynthia Hightower and Sandra Helton (Darrell); grandchildren, Brittany Hightower, Michael Helton, Clint Helton, Steven Helton and Ashley Helton; great-grandchildren, Christian Helton, Brandon Helton, Chevy Helton, McKenna Helton, Lynden Helton Calvin Helton and Holly Helton; great-great-grandchild, Everleigh Helton; brothers, Pat McGuire (Patricia) and Roger McGuire (Louise); granddaughter-in-law, Bobbie Webb, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other family members that loved him dearly.  Calvin proudly served his country in the United States Navy.  He was a 50 year Mason, belonged to the Scottish Rite, Eastern Star and the provost unit of the Shriners.  Calvin was well loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A time of visitation will be held for Calvin on Friday, December 31, 2021 from 1pm-2pm at the Little Chapel by the Lake, Colonial Gardens Cemetery. Funeral Service will begin at 2pm, after the visitation.   Online condolences may be offered at
