Obituary

Calvin C. McBride, Jr., age 77, passed away on Friday, October 23, 2020 at his home in Marshall.  Calvin was born December 8, 1942 in Marshall.  He was preceded in death by parents, grandmother and grandfather, a granddaughter, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, 3 sisters and 2 brothers.

Calvin is survived by his wife of 55 years, Wanda Oney McBride; daughter, Joy McBride; sons, Rodney McBride, and Daren McBride; grandchildren, Cassandra , Allison, Joshua and Jacob McBride, Christian, Tommy and Donavan Keith, and Alexander Williams; great-grandchildren, Xoe, Lola, Lincoln, Mattix, Shiloh, Parker, Emma, and Kinsley; 3 sisters, and 4 brothers; and a host of other family and friends. 

Calvin served his country in the United States Army for 25 years until retirement.  After the U.S. Army he was an Administrator in Social Working.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather great-grandfather brother and friend. 

Calvin loved nature, gardening, all of his flowers, but most of all his queen, Wanda.  He will be deeply missed by everyone that knew him. 

Visitation will be held in the Chapel of Meadowbrook Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.  A celebration of Calvin’s life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday October 28, 2020 in the Chapel of Meadowbrook Funeral Home with Reverend James Runnels officiating.  Interment to follow in Piney Cemetery in Harleton.
