Beloved mother, cherished grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, treasured sister and friend, Bonnie Ray (Singletary) Beckham, age 81, passed away in Longview, Texas on April 21, 2022. Bonnie was born in Marshall, Texas on April 14, 1941 to Raymond Singletary and Eunice Rodgers Singletary. Bonnie is preceded in death by her son, Attis Deryle Whitehead; her parents; and siblings, Harold Singletary, Carol Singletary, Milton Armstrong and Maxine Armstrong. She is survived by her daughter, Rita L. Jones (Fredrick “Cookie”) of Karnack, TX; 5 grandchildren, Reginald Lee, Jr. (Pya) of Houston, TX, Ray Lee (Tyronda) of McKinney, TX, Deryle Porter (Ashley) of Longview, TX, LaTasha Zerai (Daniel) of Houston, TX and Sheree Morrison (Tyrone) of Houston, TX; 16 great-grandchildren, JaKaylon, JaKoby, JaKorian, Tristalyn, Tyler, Deryne, Kaydence, Kaitlyn, Ayanna, Xavier, Isaiah, Keuntay, Omarian, Deon, Faith and Je’Caryous; 2 great-great-grandchildren, Sierra and Zoe; one sister, Cathy Dillard, as well as numerous other family members and friends. In her younger years, Bonnie attended Houston schools and later studied to become a paralegal. She retired from Monarch Tile in 1994. She loved dogs, gardening, interior design, making floral arrangements and home renovations. As a young child, she fell in love with a historical Marshall home built in 1910. She would drive by it regularly, and eventually, was able to buy that home as her dream home. She loved her family fiercely and was well loved in return. Bonnie will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
