Our littlest angel, Alexander John Michael Morris, age 19 months, and affectionately known as Xander, passed away on January 6, 2022, at Christus Mother Francis Hospital in Jacksonville, Texas. Xander was born on May 14, 2020, in Longview, Texas to Dusty Taulbee and Megan Morris. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, John Hamblen, Sr., and Tony Allen; his great- grandparents, Lester Morris, Helen Morris and Marie Elaine Pool. Xander is survived by his parents, Dusty Taulbee and Megan Morris; his sisters, Ella and Cora; his grandparents, Trudy Taulbee and Janie Abigail Morris; his great-grandparents, Helen Shipman “Big Ship” and Tim Brown; his aunts and uncles, Luke and Elizabeth Allen, Layla Allen, Buffy Keasler, Brad and Mary Beth Allen, Andy Allen, Nick Allen, Tony Jo Allen, John and Melissa Hamblen; his great-aunts and great-uncles, Terry and Rita Allen, Angie and Pete Welden, Roxy Morris, Bubba and Phyllis Morris, Pete Morris and Dusty and Marlene Morris; his bonus parents, Jeff and Dottie Buckholt and their children, Maddie and Allie. He is also survived by many other family members and friends who were blessed by his life. Xander loved football and those games on television could hold his attention for hours. There was a light in his sweet, small soul and he did not have to live long to live enough for all to see his precious personality. He was small, but mighty with an infectious smile and his absence will make our world sadder and smaller. Xander was loved by so many and while we all wanted the perfect life for him, we have learned the hard way that some stories don’t have a clear beginning, middle or end. Life is truly about not knowing and having to make changes; taking the moment and making the best of it, without knowing what is going to happen next. Our family is better because Xander lived; his sweet smile, his energy, his happiness, and those incredibly beautiful blue eyes will be truly missed. Visitation for Xander will be held on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, from 6pm-8pm at Meadowbrook Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at 10:00am at River Crossing Cowboy Church with Helen Shipman and John Hamblen officiating. Interment will follow at Colonial Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brad Allen, Luke Allen, Mikkel Keasler and T. J. Allen. Online condolences may be offered at www.meadowbrookfh.com
