Wilna Gay (Rosser) Howlett

January 16, 1932 ~ May 24, 2019 (age 87)

Beloved wife, cherished mother, devoted grandmother, sister and friend of many, Wilna Gay (Rosser) Howlett, age 87, passed away in Marshall, Texas on Friday, May 24, 2019 surrounded by her family. She was born in Elysian Fields, Texas on January 16, 1932 to Fred Wells and Jewel Savannah (McDonald) Rosser.  Gay was married to the love of her life, Marvin Lee Howlett for 61 years before he preceded her in death on March 12, 2011.  She is also preceded in death by one set of infant twins, Marty Lee and Monty Ray Howlett; one set of unnamed infant twins; two brothers, Houston Rosser and Howard Rosser and two sisters, Jane Alice Rosser and Virginia Guernsey.  She is survived by her sons, Bart Alan Howlett and his wife, Debbie and Brad Wells Howlett and his wife, Jamie; her grandchildren, Blaire Buchanan (Chris), Brett Howlett (Regan), Molly Hollis (Skylar) and Kasey Howlett; great-grandchildren, Riley Buchanan, Abel Buchanan and Auden Buchanan; her sisters, Rosanne Hodge (Larry) and Linda Adcox; her sisters-in-law, Dot Rosser and Kathy Rosser.  She is also survived by numerous other family members and friends who knew and loved her.  She was a devoted member and Sunday School teacher for over 30 years at Sunset Baptist Church before moving her membership to Immanuel Baptist Church where her family attended.  Gay loved her Lord and her family.  She was a devoted wife to Marvin and lovingly took care of him for 61 years.  She was a stay-at-home mom with her two sons, whom she adored, and was passionate about her time spent with her grandchildren.  Gay will be deeply missed by all who were blessed with her love and friendship.  The family would like to offer their sincere and heartfelt thanks to Reunion Inn and Marshall HomeCare and Hospice for the care they each provided to Gay.  A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 from 5pm-7pm at Meadowbrook Funeral Home.  Private graveside service will be held at Kildare City Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband.  In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorials be made in her memory to Kildare Cemetery Association, P.
