Beloved wife, cherished mother, devoted grandmother and friend of many, Priscilla Sue “Susie” (Stevens) Chambers McWilliams, age 73, passed into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at her home in Hallsville, Texas. She was born on August 3, 1946 in Dallas, Texas to Eugene Thomas Stevens, Sr. and Ada Florice (Ward) Stevens. Susie is preceded in death by her parents; both sets of grandparents; her late husband, Joe Hulan Chambers, Sr.; her siblings, Eugene Thomas Stevens, Jr., Stanley Marie Duckett, Fred Paul Stevens and Walter Jay Stevens; her son, Joe Chambers, Jr.; her grandson, Steven Scott Chambers; her nephew, Roy Duckett; her niece, April Tripp and her great niece, Marlie Stevens. Susie is survived by her husband, Rodney Ben McWilliams; her children, Steven Chambers and his wife, Joy, Robert Chambers and his wife, Sheila, Stuart Chambers and his wife, Karrie, David McWilliams and his wife, Tania. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; several special nieces, nephews; great-niece and great-nephew; many other family members and friends who knew and loved her. She will be sorely missed by all who were blessed by her love and friendship. She worked at a sheet metal shop, in real estate, as a Tupperware dealer, an Avon representative and a professional housekeeper. She was a charter member of Harleton Cornerstone Church and was the Praise and Worship leader from September 1984 until the time of her death. Visitation will be held at Meadowbrook Funeral Home on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at 1:00pm. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at Meadowbrook Funeral Home at 2:00pm following the visitation with Rev. Charlotte Riddle, Bro. Michael Chambers and Bro. Martin Clickard officiating. Burial will be held at Harleton Cornerstone Cemetery in Harleton, Texas.
