Michael Dewayne McCray was born in Marshall, Texas on June 9, 1967 to the parentage of the late Robert Mills and Fannie McCray. He was a 1985 graduate of Carter High School in Dallas, Texas. Michael served as a U.S. Army Specialist from 1989-1993 before being discharged. One of his many passions in life was cooking, resulting in numerous restaurant positions in the Dallas area. Years later, he met and married the love of his life, Carmen Stoker, and together they shared five children. Before his health began to decline, Michael worked at the Sealed Air Co. in Grand Prairie, Texas for many years.
Our beloved Michael transitioned from this life, to not only return home to the Father, but also to rejoin his father, Robert Mills; great-grandparents, Tom Johnson (Fannie); and his siblings, Valicia Mills and LaValle Mills.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories: his loving wife, Carmen Stokes-McCray of Marshall, Texas; his mother, Fannie Turner of Dallas, Texas; his mother-in-law, Emera McCowan of Marshall, Texas; daughters, Mikeyla McCray and Brittany Brazile of Marshall, Texas; sons, Thomas Stoker of Houston, Texas, Taylon McCray and Aiden McCray of Marshall, Texas; granddaughter, A’Riyah Mills; grandmother, Leola Johnson of Marshall, Texas; brothers, Maderia Tyrone McCray and Shelton Trenton Mills of Dallas, Texas; sisters, Melody Turner, Monica Turner and Kristie Mills-Shawn, all of Dallas, Texas; uncles, Jimmy (Gwen) Mills, Willie (Cassandra) Johnson and Henry (Othello) Nesbitt and Calvin Johnson, all of Marshall, Texas; aunts, Janice Brown, Raynelle Johnson, Rutha Nesbitt, Betty Hearne of Marshall, Texas and Mary Williams and Clara Hudson of Dallas, Texas; sisters-in-law, Corliss (Carlyle) Cooper of Marshall, Texas and Chondra (Willie) Stevenson of Ft.
