Beloved wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother and great-grandmother, Judith “Judy” Janice (Martin) Finch, age 81, and affectionately known as “Momma J”, passed away in Marshall, Texas on Saturday, August 10, 2019 surrounded by her family. Judy was born on August 2, 1938 in Deberry, Texas to Guy and Goldie Mae (Henderson) Martin. She is preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Goldie Martin; her daughter, Denise “Dee” Palmer; her brother, Guy Martin and her sister, Melba Harlan. She is survived by the love of her life, her husband of 40 years, James Thomas “Tommy” Finch; her daughter, Gigi Cox and her husband, Doug; her son, Guy Seibel and his wife, Karen; her grandchildren, Colby Holland and her husband, Austin, Clay Coe and his wife, Taylor, E. Z. Palmer, Collin Coe, Hannah Seibel; her great grandchildren, Carson Holland, Lexi Holland, Tate Holland, Jack Coe, Witten Coe, Sullivan Seibel; numerous nieces, nephews; other family members; her special friend, Mary Jane McCrary and her four legged fur baby, Tut. Judy graduated from Elysian Fields High School where she was a cheerleader, furthering her education with several college courses. She loved her jobs as the Activity Director for many years at the MHMR Center, the Sheltered Workshop, Colonial Park Nursing home and Summer Meadows Nursing Home. She had attended church at St. Mark’s United Methodist, Summit United Methodist and Grange Hall United Methodist Church where she was always very actively involved in the youth ministries. Judy loved the arts and theatre, but her true passion was her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at 6:00pm at Meadowbrook Funeral Home with a time of visitation immediately following the service.
