Bengie Irving Crowsey was born March 22, 1941 in Gainesville, Texas to Horace Henry Crowsey and Eunice (Linder) Crowsey. He passed away on Monday, June 10, 2019 at his home at Caddo Lake.
Bengie graduated from Gainesville High School in 1959 and owned and operated Sinclair Gas Station in the early 1960’s. He worked as a pipe superintendent for 30 years at H.B. Zachry before retiring at age 55 to his home on Caddo Lake. There he continued with his favorite hobby, planting and harvesting his large vegetable garden. He was a loving husband, brother, father, grandfather, uncle and friend.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Judy Crowsey; sister, Sharon Clark; daughters, Sherlyn Crowsey Bourne, Tammy C. Bammert, Stacey Davis, and Stephanie Larson; sons, Anthony Davis and Kevin Crowsey; grandchildren, Magen, Misty, Kolby, Brandon, Brett, Brittany, Zach and Garrett as well as four great- grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Henry “Hank” Crowsey and Ancil Crowsey.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 22, 2019 at 11:00am, Church of Uncertain, Karnack, Texas. Brother Joe Chisum will be officiating.
